This UN rated (UN1A2/Y13.6/S, UN1A2/Y1.8/100) 1 gallon black open head steel pail comes with a pigmented phenolic lined interior. This pail Includes the steel pail and lug cover. Typical industrial and commercial products which do not affect the pigmented phenolic lining are acid compounds, agricultural chemicals, insecticides, corrosive chemicals, solvents and solvent containing materials, nitrocellulose lacquers and inks, food products, essential oils and petroleum products.

Pigmented phenolic lining:
Red phenolic linings are unmodified phenolic and as such, have a high degree of acid and solvent resistance. Not recommended for alkaline products. Pigmented to achieve the red-brown color. The pigment allows for thicker film thickness and is selected when greater protection is required.
